We know you may have some questions about the recent announcement that West Cobb Sanitation has joined the Capital Waste Services (CWS) family. We want to make sure you feel confident and informed about what this change means for your home and community.
Below, we’ve answered some of the most common questions we’ve received from customers like you.
- What exactly is taking place with the company transition?
West Cobb Sanitation has officially become part of the Capital Waste Services family. Steve Rogers and his team, who have been serving the Cobb County community since 1989, have entrusted CWS to continue providing the same great service you’ve come to rely on.
This partnership allows us to combine West Cobb’s local expertise with Capital Waste’s expanded resources, technology, and equipment, all to serve you even better.
- Will we continue to see West Cobb garbage trucks in our neighborhood?
Yes — for now, you’ll likely continue to see the familiar West Cobb trucks and team members servicing your neighborhood. Over time, some trucks may be updated with Capital Waste Services branding, but you’ll still see the same friendly faces you’ve come to know.
Our goal is to make this transition seamless while investing in equipment to support your community’s growing needs.
- Can we expect the same level of service we have been receiving?
Absolutely. The same dedicated local team will continue to provide your waste and recycling collection each week. You’ll continue receiving the same dependable, on-time service you’ve always trusted.
- Will pickup days remain the same?
Yes, your pickup schedule will remain exactly the same. There are no scheduled changes to your collection days as part of this transition.
If any route adjustments occur in the future, we’ll communicate those changes clearly and well in advance, but for now, your service will continue as usual.
- Will we still be able to place up to five yard bags for pickup?
Yes, that policy remains the same! You can continue to place up to five yard waste bags out for pickup each week, just as before.
Our goal is to make sure your service experience feels familiar, convenient, and uninterrupted.
- Will there be any price changes?
No — there are no price changes due to this transition. Your current rate and billing cycle will stay the same.
If any future adjustments are necessary, we’ll communicate them transparently and in advance. Our priority is to maintain fair, competitive pricing while investing in high-quality service, local jobs, and community improvements. At CWS, we don’t do hidden and unexpected fees, just honest communication and integrity.
