We are pleased to formally welcome our newest customers in Lexington, South Carolina, to the Capital Waste Services (CWS) family. Starting October 1st CWS is your new residential service provider. We’re here to keep your waste and recycling service easy, dependable, and stress-free. At Capital Waste Services (CWS), we believe that great service starts with being part of the community. We are pleased to expand our services to homes and businesses throughout Lexington County, maintaining the same dedication to safety, consistency, and local care that established our roots in the Southeast.
Who We Are
Capital Waste Services was established in Columbia, SC, in 2015 with a clear mission: to deliver exceptional, people-centered waste services that exceed expectations. Now with over 600 waste experts across the Southeast, we still operate like a local company—because we are one. Our team lives and works in the communities we serve, and we’re proud to now include Lexington Area 7 in that list.

What to know: CWS is now Lexington Area 7’s waste service provider. Services provided to each area are: Trash, Trash and Recycling, and Trash, Recycling, and Yard Waste. We have mailed letters to everyone who had service with the previous provider to let them know what their new service offerings will be. If your service offerings have changed, GFL will be collecting your recycling bin after the last scheduled service with them.
How to Sign Up: Visit our Sign Up page, and complete the steps to start your service.
🗓️Service Days will be announced after your sign up. If you are a current subscriber of the prior service provider, your day may be changing. Please be on the lookout for communications from us, letting you know your new service day.

🚛 Cart Placement Instructions:
- Please place your trash and recycling carts at the curb by 6:00 AM on your collection day.
- Make sure carts are 3 feet apart from each other and away from mailboxes, fences, or parked cars.
- Cart lids should be completely closed to ensure proper collection and avoid spillage.
- After collection, please remove your carts from the curb within 24 hours.
