Who We Are
Capital Waste Services was founded in Columbia, SC in 2015 with one goal: to provide professional, people-first waste services that go above and beyond. With over 500 employees across the Southeast, we still operate like a local company—because we are one. Our team lives and works in the communities we serve, and we’re proud to now include New Ellenton in that list.
Capital Waste Services (CWS) is a privately held waste management company headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina. Established in 2015, CWS provides residential, commercial, and industrial waste collection, disposal, and recycling services across the southeastern United States, including South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina.
Our company’s leadership team brought decades of industry experience, focusing on customer service and community engagement. Capital Waste Services operates thirteen hauling locations and fifteen disposal facilities, including eight transfer stations and seven landfills across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. We serve approximately 100,000 residential customers through seventeen long-term municipal contracts and about 18,000 commercial, industrial, and post-collection customers.
Services
CWS offers a comprehensive range of waste management services tailored to residential, commercial, and industrial clients:
- Residential Services: CWS provides curbside trash pickup, recycling, yard waste collection, and roll-off dumpster rentals for homeowners.
- Commercial and Industrial Services: The company offers customized waste and recycling solutions for businesses, including office buildings, retail locations, restaurants, factories, warehouses, and distribution centers. Services include flexible pickup schedules, roll-off containers, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Construction and Demolition Waste: CWS supplies roll-off dumpsters in various sizes (10, 20, 30, and 40 yards) for construction and renovation projects, ensuring timely delivery and pickup to minimize disruptions.
- Portable Restroom Services: We offer portable restrooms for job sites and events, along with portable sinks at our Aiken, South Carolina location.

East of Main Street - Thursday
Main Street Address - Thursday
West of Main Street - Friday
🚛 Cart Placement Instructions:
• Please place your trash and recycling carts at the curb by 6:00 AM on your collection day.
• Make sure carts are 3 feet apart from each other and away from mailboxes, fences, or parked cars.
• Cart lids should be completely closed to ensure proper collection and avoid spillage.
• After collection, please remove your carts from the curb within 24 hours.
