🏠🌬️ As many South Carolinians prepare for the possibility of Hurricane Idalia, Capital Waste Services wants to remind everyone to secure your trash cans before high winds arrive.
⛈️ In strong winds, residential trash cans can become flying projectiles. To prevent damage and keep your neighborhood safe, we recommend:
- Placing trash and recycling bins in your garage, if possible.
- If indoor storage isn’t an option, keep bins close to the house and tie them down to prevent them from blowing away.
Commercial customers should also close and secure container lids to reduce the risk of damage and prevent flyaways.
