Capital Waste Services is proud to announce the official opening of our new corporate headquarters at 1441 Main Street in the heart of downtown Columbia, South Carolina.
The milestone was celebrated on Monday, August 4, 2025, with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, Matt Kennell, President & CEO of the Main Street District, representatives from the City of Columbia’s Office of Economic Development, and our own President and CEO, Matt Parker.
“We started as a local company with a big vision and we have since grown into a leading waste and recycling service provider right here in Columbia and the Midlands,” said Matt Parker. “We are excited about the future and grateful to be a part of a community that shares our same values of service, sustainability, and progress.”
A Growing Company with Local Roots
Capital Waste Services was founded in 2015, beginning with service to the Columbia area. In just ten years, we have grown into a regional leader in solid waste and recycling, expanding operations across South Carolina and into Chattanooga, TN, Dalton, GA, and Jacksonville, FL. For five consecutive years, we have been recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in South Carolina.
